On November 15th 2012 Greater Manchester voted to choose its first elected Police and Crime Commissioner.
The Liberal Democrat candidate was Matt Gallagher and you can find out more about him and his campaign here.

Matt was chosen in a one-member one-vote ballot of Lib Dem party members across the ten boroughs of Greater Manchester.
In votes cast across Tameside borough the Lib Dems came second – ahead of the Conservatives, Independent and UKIP.
